Instagram Discount Code DM Templates
Dayrect can help your Instagram page send a private message with the discount code your business supplies to people who request it by comment or DM keyword. This Instagram discount code DM template gives you a message to adapt: replace its placeholders with confirmed offer details and check it before use. The template is editorial copy; it does not generate a coupon or fill in the fields.

Instagram discount code DM templates to copy
Each bracketed field is an instruction for you to replace. The merchant supplies the actual working code, eligible items, terms, dates and destination. If a detail does not apply, remove that sentence rather than guessing.

Placeholder key: [CODE] is the merchant's real code. [ELIGIBLE ITEMS], [ELIGIBILITY], [SERVICE], [COURSE / LESSON], and similar fields identify what qualifies. [TERMS] covers confirmed restrictions or exclusions. [EXPIRY] is an actual end date only when supplied. [LINK] and the more specific link fields are destinations the business owns or has checked. Replace or remove every bracketed instruction before sending.
Ask the merchant for the offer details
Ask the business for the exact code and what it applies to. Confirm eligible products, services or enrollments, exclusions, minimum purchase rules, other terms, and the destination where a customer can review details. Check whether there is an expiry date; if there is none, omit the expiry line. Do not invent a discount amount, deadline, stock limit, eligibility rule or promise.
The code and terms must agree with the merchant's current offer and checkout. If the merchant cannot confirm a field, leave it out or wait for an answer. Never put a sample code into a live message as if it were valid.
Send a requested code through Instagram
Once an offer exists, prepare its approved message in a supported comment-to-DM flow or DM keyword reply. A comment keyword can lead to a private reply; a person can also ask by sending the configured keyword in a DM. These flows respond to an eligible interaction. They are not a way to message people who have not contacted or engaged with the page. Read the comment-to-DM setup guide for the comment route and how to send prices by DM from Instagram comments for a related offer flow.
An honest caption can say: “Our shop has confirmed an offer on [ELIGIBLE ITEMS]. Comment [KEYWORD] and we’ll send the details by DM.” Use that only after the offer and message are ready and the matching flow is configured. A neutral public response such as “Thanks for asking. Please check your messages and message requests” does not claim that delivery succeeded.
The message itself does not import into the app, validate a coupon, or synchronize with a shop system. A merchant must update the configured text when its terms change. For optional follow checks, read the follow-before-link guide; following is not required to use these templates. You can also adapt the general comment link message template or price reply templates.
Check the message before using it
Confirm the code with the merchant and check that the destination belongs to the business and opens the intended offer. Compare the message's eligibility, exclusions and expiry with the terms shown at checkout. If you need a fictional link to illustrate a draft, use a reserved .example address such as shop.example/sale and label it clearly as fictional; never show a stranger's real domain as an example.
Read the complete message on a phone. Make sure it is easy to scan, the code is easy to copy, and the link and terms are clear. Search the draft for [ and ] so no editorial placeholders remain. Check the configured message again whenever the merchant changes its offer. For current plan information, see pricing.
Frequently asked questions
Does this template generate a coupon code?
No. The merchant must supply an actual working code and confirm what it covers.
What if the merchant has no expiry date?
Omit the expiry field. Do not invent a deadline or imply scarcity.
Will the code or offer update automatically?
No coupon synchronization is established. Update the configured message manually when the merchant's terms change, then review it again.
Can I use any URL in the example?
Use the merchant's checked link in real copy. Fictional examples should use a reserved .example domain, such as shop.example/sale, and be labelled fictional.
Can Dayrect send this message automatically?
A configured supported flow can send the supplied text after an eligible comment or DM keyword interaction. The template alone does not run; set up and review the flow in Dayrect after adapting a message with the merchant's real offer.
